What Can I Expect At A Meeting? One of our main meetings during the week is Sunday At Ten. It is the focal point of our church life - the whole church family gathers every Sunday morning to praise and thank God for all he has done, to pray and hear his Word, the Bible. We meet at 10am in our main church building for about 75 minutes. Our priority when we meet is to read part of the Bible and have it explained to us. Each meeting will be led by a member of our congregation who will explain what is going on and when to stand up and sit down. All the words you need will be projected on a screen. You can use a service sheet if you prefer. You will also be given a weekly newsletter. As well as having a Bible reading and a talk, we also do various other things on a Sunday morning including:
After the meeting we spend a while catching up with one another over a cup of tea or coffee. What Should I Wear? It's entirely up to you what you wear, we'd just love to meet you! Most people dress casually. Some people wear shorts and others wear ties - but normally not at the same time. Will I Be Expected To Do Anything? You won't be expected to do anything - you are welcome just to sit and listen or join in as you wish. It would be great to meet you at the tea and coffee time after the formal part of our meeting has ended. Other MeetingsHere at Holy Trinity Lyonsdown we have three main meetings each week, Sunday At Ten, Sunday At Six and FOCUS. There is more information about the many other events we run in the events section of our website. |
